Aigues-Mort, France

So whilst in the southern region of France, it seemed a great opportunity to re-visit Aigues-Mort, France. I previously came here approximately 30 years ago. I remember little about the visit, but I remember the place having a lovely laid back feel and being fascinated by the walled city. At that point I had not seen many so found it intriguing.

We took the opportunity to cycle in to the city from another great parking place find. It was not far, but a pretty little route along the canal and towards the city. We quickly found our way to the edge of the city walls and their vaguely familiar colourings where welcoming.

Once we had explored the outer edges of the city walls and taken a short trip towards the salt flats. Again we had superb blue skies, light breeze and were treated to some lovely food and drink in the square.

It did not really feel like a re-visit, but a totally new experience, and we loved every second of it.
