Our visit to Arles was driven by Google research and the images that made the place look well worth a visit. So we quickly found a camper stop by the river opposite the old part of the city, however, when we arrived, we were not impressed by surroundings and felt really uneasy so decided to have a walk around the city during daylight and then decide on our overnight stop when we returned to the motorhome.

We found the city somewhat complicated to navigate but we always like to get lost around these places. We eventually stumbled on some really small and pretty streets.

We enjoyed our visit, but on our return we decided to pack up and move on. We were not comfortable about some of our new neighbours and felt uncomfortable. We always agreed that if either or both of us weren’t happy, we’d simply move on to the next place.
