Cley Next the Sea, UK

During our tour of Norfolk we had received many suggestions that we visit the small village of Cley Next the Sea. And like many of the small villages around this part of the UK, it more than lived up to it's reputation

The village had many lovely walks from the dwellings out to the beach and sea. The village also had many independent stores selling seemingly everything from smoked fish to savoury pastries and cakes, and everything in between. The beauty of this place was only matched by the friendly welcome that we received when walking around this place and from the interesting and engaging people that we spoke to in the local shops. Their conversation and insight in to the local delicacies were fascinating.

Obviously we had to sample many of the savoury and sweet treats that Cley had to offer. I would highly recommend a visit to the smokehouse and the local grocery shops as the items that we had from both places were simply outstanding!
