Dubrovnik, Croatia

Well Dubrovnik - the city that I had been looking forward to visiting the most on our trip. Oh boy, did it exceed my expectations!

The walled city suffered significant damage during the conflict and there are obvious signs where there have needed extensive repairs. However, the Croatians have done a sterling job as it looks simply breath taking. I nearly wore my camera out on this day out. I have only added a few shots from the day, but I took over 250 photos on my DSLR alone.

We approached the city by ferry from Mlini and it was the perfect way to arrive. No traffic, and you are delivered right to the gates of the city.

To top off this magical day of wandering the streets, walking the circumference of the city walls and taking so many photographs, we were treated to the sun dropping in the sky as we left the city behind us on the last ferry back to Mlini.

We were exhausted, but satisfied that we had made the most of the city and that its beauty, history and stunning back drop of the mountains would long be remembered.
