So having taken our newly acquired motohome a little further than our initial test couple of trips, we found a lovely little site in Ashbury (Caravan & Motorhome Club Site - Ashbury Caravan Park). The site was basic but really quiet. Sadly the weather denied us making the most of the area and the Granite Way, as we experienced exceptionally high winds - courtesy of storm Freya. But we made the best of it and got out and about a little.

Walk above Croyde and Saunton Sands.

We then moved on to Great Torrington and, duting a break in the weather, had a lovely walk round Croyde and the surrounding hills and beach. Definitely recommend the walk as the views were spectacular. Sadly, the storm blew in some more rain so little opportunity to capture the terrific scenery.
