Having left The Kelpies behind us, we had identified what looked like a good spot on Park4Nite to stop for the night at Monifieth. The raving reviews undersold the place. The seafront, beaches and walks/cycle paths made this place a tranquil and beautiful place to rest up for the evening. We took the opportunity as the sun was setting to head out for a walk along the beachfront and across the sand. We had the added bonus of a stunning sunset while we returned to our van to have dinner. It was a stunning place, and I was left wondering whether we would find many places during this trip like this. I doubted it, but it was a great little find.

The following morning the weather was typical for the time of year, it was a little gusty and giant cloud bursts clearly visible on the horizon. So we decided to head on to see what was in store for us next.
